The call of nature was the same back then as it is today, so some sort of solution had to be made. An outdoor enclosure with a place to poop was the answer. Running out in the middle of a cold night to relieve one's self could not be much fun. Well, outhouses gave way to modern bathrooms and the world breathed a sigh of relief.
